Congratulations to Seamus Connolly whose Notes from my mind CD was voted best reissue , mastered by Gabriel Donohue in close collaboration with Seamus.

says Earle Hitchner, (Wall Street Journal, Irish Echo) "This meticulously remastered solo debut by Seamus Connolly is a revelation in sound quality, in touch, and in taste, and shows in greater depth and detail why he is a living legend among Irish traditional fiddlers." An All-Ireland Champion Fiddle Player(10 times)Seamus is renowned both for his own mastery of the fiddle and for bringing the best traditional players to Boston College's Gaelic Roots Program over the years. His remastered "Notes" really brings out the full richness of Seamus's playing in a way that the original cassette recording could not.

Touring with The Chieftains is Gabriel Donohue, a guitarist from Galway, Ireland. He sat in with the band and one point treated the audience to a taste of Spain. This guy has magic fingers and his performance was masterful.
